Telangana: BJP asks TRS govt to get stranded people back from Gulf countries

Telangana BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday wrote a letter to chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao requesting him to formulate a strategy to get lakhs of Telangana people stranded in Gulf countries to go back home.

HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday wrote a letter to chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao requesting him to formulate a strategy to get lakhs of Telangana people stranded in Gulf countries to go back home.
In a single page letter Sanjay said that it is known fact many people from Telangana were stranded in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi. "About 15 lakh from North Telangana districts have gone there for livelihood about 25 percent of them are waiting to come back", he said.

Sanjay said their family members back home are worried as they lost livelihood with no money due to Covid- 19 pandemic. "Many of them are calling on mobile or expressing their helpless through social media, it is the duty of the state government to get them back", he said.
He further told the government to prepare the list of the people to come back and that there is facility for their home quarantine . "If the chief secretary of the state gives these details to the Central government Vande Bharat mission will take care of the rest, we can get at least 1500 people every day back home", he said.
