MUMBAI: Shiv Sena welcomed Modi government's move to ban 59 Chinese apps and called it a "digital strike" while suggesting the Centre should take on Chinese trade and investment as well.
Sena, in an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamna, said: "According to the Indian government, Chinese apps were banned because they posed a threat to India's sovereignty, integrity, security. If this is true, then all governments in the past should be blamed for it.
