Shiv Sena calls ban on China apps 'digital strike'

MUMBAI: Shiv Sena welcomed Modi government's move to ban 59 Chinese apps and called it a "digital strike" while suggesting the Centre should take on Chinese trade and investment as well.
Sena, in an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamna, said: "According to the Indian government, Chinese apps were banned because they posed a threat to India's sovereignty, integrity, security. If this is true, then all governments in the past should be blamed for it.How have all these apps and their transactions continued for so many years?
