LITTLE J & BIG CUZ
Series return ★★★
8.05am, ABC Kids
The outback school in Dot West’s canny cartoon is a far cry from the one we see in Maya Newell’s documentary, In My Blood It Runs (Sunday, 9.30pm, ABC). In Little J’s world, there’s a working connection between teacher, Miss Chen, the cheeky kids and Nanna, who today gives a lesson in language. This fun and instructive NITV series finds a new home and hopefully reaches an even wider audience on the ABC’s children’s channel.
THE VOICE

7.30pm, Nine
The coaches have their work cut out maintaining the drama that has copped a bit of criticism this season, especially given that two of them are appearing in a virtual capacity. As the “play-offs” get under way, it’s natural to assume the focus might shift back to the actual contestants. This week, special guests Marcia Hines and the Veronicas will be on hand to offer some assistance on the ground to the physically absent Boy George and Kelly Rowland.

It’s hard to believe that the two women being transformed from frumpy to fit in this British makeover show, aren’t actors, because they know all the right things to say, and are possessed of a confidence they swear they lack. They’ve also got good canvases to work with when it comes to hair, make-up and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Either way, they are effective examples of what the beauty industry can do for superficial insecurities. Cheery Healey (pictured), hosts.
