Drunk businessman runs over woman in crowded Chilla village, arrested

NEW DELHI: A drunk businessman man driving a car through the Chilla Village mowed down an elderly woman and then drove the car over her when the passersby tried to pull her out from under the vehicle. The entire incident has been captured in CCTV footage. The woman fortunately escaped with injuries. The locals managed to stop the man after the incident and thrashed him before handing him over to the police.
The incident happened around 7.30pm on Friday.The woman was crossing the road near her residence when the businessman, Bhanu drove his car towards her and knocked her down.

Hearing the noise the locals rushed to pull the woman out from the car, when Bhanu again drove the car this time dragging the woman along until the locals stopped him.
He was pulled out and thrashed by the locals who then rushed the woman to the hospital. Police have booked Bhanu under sections of the rash and negligent driving and causing grievous hurt due to negligence.
