DC withdraws notice issued to 3 doctors over swab collection

MYSURU: The district administration on Friday withdrew the show cause notice issued to three doctors here for not complying with the directives on swab collection.
The notice was withdrawn after the doctors explained the technical challenges in swab collection which resulted in the issues.
Deputy commissioner MR Ravi had issued notices to three doctors from Gundlupet taluk for failing to achieve swab collection target. “These three doctors were given three different targets and they were supposed to collect the swab samples of the vulnerable groups.Due to the technical difficulties, they were unable to achieve the target. Hence, the notice was issued,” said sources in the health department.
District health officer L Ravi said the issue is resolved. “Due to the technical issues, there was confusion. All resolved now,” he said.
