Cookinham graduates from George Washington University

WASHINGTON -- Samantha Jean Cookinham graduated from George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Cookinham received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Journalism and Mass Communication and minor in American Studies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and is a recipient of the School of Media and Public Affairs Dorothy and Will Roberts prize. This prize honors graduating seniors who have demonstrated academic achievement, professional promise and community service.

While at GWU, Cookinham was able to intern at Hill.TV, MSNBC and CBS News - Face the Nation, CBS This Morning and the White House Unit. She also was a Communications Associate for SMPA and Communications Director for MediaFile.

Cookinham is the daughter of Richard and Jean Cookinham of Tiverton.
