Umar Cheema, Ahshan Chaudhary and Sohail Abbas of Pakistan’s ISI met Irfan Shafi Mir, the advocate arrested with Singh, according to the NIA. ISI handlers tasked Mir with identifying and activating new hawala channels for transfer of money to sustain terrorist activities in Kashmir valley, said the chargesheet.
The NIA named Hizbul Mujahideen’s chief Sayeed Salahudeen, deputy chief Amir Khan, operational head Khursheed Alam and financial head Nazar Mehmood for planning and financing terrorist activities in J&K with help of Pakistani establishment and traders who operate across the Line of Control (LoC).
Besides the ISI handlers, the agency accused officials from the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi for allegedly facilitating funds to organise seminars in J&K for mobilising masses against the central government.
