CHARMINAR: Vegetable vendors protested against police action at Khilwat ground in the Old City on Monday. Police said that the vendors were asked to maintain social distance which was not being followed.
"We were not allowed to sell vegetables here. This is not right as all other businesses are on as usual. Some locals alleged that we were not maintaining social distance in the market. They called the cops to shoo us off,'' said Imran one of the vendors.

"The lockdown has made our lives miserable," Shaik Mahmoob, one of the vegetable vendors, said. "Already we are suffering a lot due to monetary issues. Many of us took loans for doing business and which we will have to repay. If we are not allowed to sell here, then show us an alternate place,'' said, Mahmoob, another vendor.
