Stock Alert: Vivint Solar Shares Up 28% On Acquisition News

The stock, Vivint Solar Inc. (VSLR), is currently trading at $13.71, up $3.08 or 28.97%, following a definitive agreement with Sunrun (RUN), under which Sunrun would acquire Vivint Solar for an enterprise value of $3.2 billion.


Vivint Solar stockholders are expected to own about 36% and Sunrun stockholders are expected to own about 64% of the fully diluted shares of the combined company.

The acquisition of Vivint Solar is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2020, subject to approval by Vivint Solar and Sunrun stockholders, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
