Telangana: Man bludgeons wife to death over property dispute in Nalgonda

HYDERABAD: A housewife was bludgeoned to death by her husband at Kethepally in Nalgonda on Monday night during an argument over property.
The accused, R Katayya, a toddy-tapper, was apprehended. Cops said his wife Mangamma had been asking him to give her money so that her mother could live in her old age. Katayya, however, refused to help.
"Mangamma held his collar during the argument and enraged with her behaviour, Katayya picked up a hammer and attacked her on the head.Mangamma died on the spot with severe injuries," Kethepally police said.
The couple were married 25 years ago. At the time of the wedding, Mangamma's family sold a plot and handed over the dowry to Katayya. "He built a house with the amount," police said. A murder case was registered.
Police said that his wife Mangamma had been asking him to give her money so that her mother could live in her old age.
