Miscreant shot dead by STF in UP's Bahraich

A miscreant carrying cash reward of Rs 50,000 on his head Panna Yadav, aka doctor was injured in an encounter with Special Task Force at Ahiranpurwa village in Hardi area of Bahraich in the wee hours of Friday.

LUCKNOW: A miscreant carrying cash reward of Rs 50,000 on his head Panna Yadav, aka doctor was injured in an encounter with Special Task Force at Ahiranpurwa village in Hardi area of Bahraich in the wee hours of Friday.
Later, Yadav was rushed to district hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Inspector general of police, STF, Amitabh Yash said that Yadav was a resident of Gorakhpur, and was named in over 36 cases of loot, dacoity, robbery and extortion.

"Yadav along with his henchmen used to operate in areas of Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Basti, Maharajganj and Kheri," said Yash.
The accused opened fire when asked to surrender and police retaliated by hitting back while STF unit was tipped off about presence of Yadav at Ahiranpurwa forest.
