Milk, pies, hand sanitiser and cheese are the latest products to be recalled by supermarkets.
If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
The Food Standards Agency issues 'Product Withdrawal Information Notices' and 'Product Recall Information Notices' to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.

Waitrose
Waitrose & Partners are recalling Waitrose & Partners Slow Cooked Beef and Ale Pie because it contains hazelnuts and milk which are not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts (hazelnuts) and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to nuts (hazelnuts) and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to a local Waitrose store for a full refund.

Shield hand sanitiser
Shield hand sanitiser is being recalled as the product contains an insufficient amount of ethanol and propan-2-ol.
Consequently, it does not kill bacteria or viruses, which could then reach the user, increasing the risk of infection.
The product does contain methanol, which is acutely toxic to the central nervous system and the eye.
Ingestion or contact with methanol leads to blindness and death. Furthermore, the presence of methanol is not accompanied by the corresponding hazard pictograms and warnings.
Users have therefore no information on the toxicity and flammability of the product, which in the presence of an ignition source, could lead to a fire.
The product does not comply with the Biocidal Products and the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulations.

- The product is packaged in a plastic bottle, available in different colours, with a black or white self-closing cap, and was sold online, in particular via eBay.
Primula Cheese Tubes sold at Asda
Primula have found a potential source of Clostridium Botulinum in one of their products. Primula are therefore recalling all Primula Cheese tubes, both 100g and 150g.

Primula are recalling all of these products because of concerns that this may have affected other products in their range.
If you have purchased any Primula Cheese products listed above, do not eat them. Please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.

Cliftons Farm is recalling raw milk and raw cream because campylobacter has been found in the products.
