Coronation Street airs worrying scenes next week, as Yasmeen Nazir suffers a heart attack.

The pressure of the looming trial and abusive husband Geoff Metcalfe's mind games leaves her struggling to cope.

It's when she makes a big discovery though that she's left shocked, and feeds back to her lawyer Imran Habeeb.

Horror strikes though, as on the day of the trial she suddenly collapses and is rushed to hospital.

It's soon confirmed the character has suffered a heart attack following traumatic events over the past few months.

The week kicks off with Yasmeen still unclear of what Geoff is up to, following his claims he wanted to get back with her.

Yasmeen was arrested after a brutal attack saw her stab Geoff in the neck with a broken glass bottle, while it was in self-defence.

His abuse led to the deadly attack, and Yasmeen has been in prison ever since - while at a recent court hearing she pleaded not guilty to attempted murder.

Yasmeen is awaiting trial, and it appears she may consider getting back with her husband after all.

Not only does he share the news with others, but she soon admits she wants to give things another go - but is all as it seems?

She receives a visit from a women's charity, but is left reeling by something the visitor tells her.

Later in the week as the trial looms, Yasmeen tells Imran about someone who claims to have also been abused by Geoff in the past.

Imran vows to track her down for the trial, and it's then that concern grows for Yasmeen.

She suddenly collapses and is raced to hospital, where doctors confirm she has suffered a heart attack.
