If you do like to be beside the seaside, the signs are all set to keep you safe.

New notices have gone up at Saltburn pier and on the amusement arcade on the town's seafront to guide visitors around as popular attractions ease themselves out of lockdown.

The pier, a much loved North east coast landmark, has implemented a one way entry and exit system to keep people safe with yellow notices on the gates showing the way in and the way out.

Redcar and Cleveland Council notices have also been placed along the lower promenade reminding cyclists to get off their bikes and pedestrians to maintain a social distance.

Saltburn's much loved sea front amusement arcade has also put up new signs on its doors with a one way in and one way out system in operation alongside social distancing.

The Seldon's arcade said on its Facebook page it had reopened on July 4 between 11am and 7pm.

"Covid restrictions are being put in place, only the front door will be open for supervised entry and exit. To ensure safety of customers and staff please wear a mask if possible and follow the goverment guidelines for social distancing.Looking forward to see our customers again," wrote the team.

Saltburn sea front and beach is a popular spot for visitors, especially when the sun shines as people flock to the beach to enjoy the sun, sand and scenery.
