Lowe’s Canada hiring more staff, converting Langford Rona

Lowe’s Canada will be hiring again in Victoria as the company intends to add 35 staff to its ranks when it converts the Langford Rona location to the Lowe’s banner this summer.

Lowe’s Canada will be hiring again in Victoria as the company intends to add 35 staff to its ranks when it converts the Langford Rona location to the Lowe’s banner this summer.

The home improvement company intends to run a hiring fair May 12 from 10 to 3 p.m. at the store (850 Langford Parkway) looking for people to fill full-time, part-time and seasonal roles.

“We are excited to be growing in Victoria and have a lot of great employment opportunities available," said Fred Pagotto, market director for Lowe’s B.C. stores. "The new Lowe’s will create many new jobs in Victoria and we are committed to filling as many positions as possible locally.”

The location will have 130 employees and will be the second Lowe’s in the region, after the company converted a Target store at Tillicum Centre into a Lowe’s last year.
