LUCKNOW: All four members of a family were dead in their rented house in
Awas Vikas area of Barabanki on Tuesday.
While bodies of Lalit and his
wife Preeti were found hanging from the ceiling in the living room, that of their two children, a boy aged 12 and a girl aged 8 were found in their bedroom, said the police.
Lalit owned a business of manufacturing of electric bulbs with a partner.
Superintendent of Police,
Arvind Chaturvedi said that the incident came to light around 10am, when milkman knocked the door and didn't receive any response.
He later informed the owner of the house
Yogendra Singh about the same.
"The duo then again banged the door but got no response later they sought help from neighbours who broke opened the door and found Lalit hanging from a ceiling fan in drawing room," said Chaturvedi.
Later cops checked other rooms and found Preeti, and children hanging in other rooms, the officer said.
A slip was recovered which the cops claimed to be a suicide note which mentions some property dispute within the family.
Barabanki police has informed family of Lalit which stays in
Mau district.
