Video: Tiger strays on to flyover in India, halts traffic

Another video captures the anxiety of the motorists fearing if the tiger would launch an attack.

Several stunned motorists waited with bated breath on a busy highway in Madhya Pradesh, India, after they spotted a tiger resting in the middle of the road and blocking all traffic. According to reports in NDTV, the tiger ventured onto a flyover which is a national highway and falls inside the buffer zone of Pench National Park - a home to a number of tigers.
There was reportedly some construction work being undertaken in the area as the big cat appeared from the dark and sat on the busy highway.   
One video of the tiger panting as it sat on the road, went viral on social media and garnered several stunned comments. While in another video filmed from inside a car on the highway, captures the anxiety of the motorists fearing if the tiger would launch an attack.

But the tiger did not attack anyone nor did it harm any vehicles, but calmly got up and disappeared into the dark forest. Following the encounter, motorists informed the forest department, and a police team was sent to the area.
The Pench National Park is 25km away from Seoni district, and construction is ongoing to elevate stretches on the highway between Seoni and Nagpur to facilitate easier movement of tigers and other wildlife.
