Kushinagar journalist becomes member of Delhi Library Board
Gorakhpur: Dr Shailendra Mani Tripathi, a native of Kushinagar and a senior journalist, has been named a member of the Delhi Library Board, an important body of the union ministry of culture. His tenure is three years.
He has been an active journalist since the past 33 years. He started off as a reporter for the Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, Gorakhpur edition, in 1987 and became the editorial head, unit head and publisher of the newspaper in the span of 14 years (1997 to 2011).
He then served as the editor of Janasandesh Times from 2012 to 2013.
As an admirer of culture, Dr Shailendra has also organized several cultural events and exhibitions in Gorakhpur and Lucknow.
A wave of joy swept past journalists of Purvanchal when he was named a member of the Delhi Library Board.
