IAS officer of Bhagalpur division shifted to Patna hospital

BHAGALPUR: A senior IAS officer of the Bhagalpur division, who had tested positive for Covid-19 recently, was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna (AIIMS-P) by an ambulance on Wednesday evening. He had been placed under home quarantine at his official residence since July 17.
A source claimed that the officer was taken to Patna for better treatment and his condition was stated to be stable.
Earlier, the Bhagalpur district magistrate (DM), officiating DM, senior ADM, district development commissioner as well as several police personnel, bank staff, post office employees, doctors and paramedical staff had tested positive for Covid.
According to the figures of the state health department, the number of corona cases in Bhagalpur has gone up to 1,859 with 623 active ones and 19 deaths. Altogether 401 positive cases, including 88 active ones and one death, have been reported from Banka so far.
