GHAZIABAD: The district administration has started an initiative to arrange for costly
Covid medicines, like Remedesivir injections, for people with poor economic backgrounds. On Tuesday, Ghaziabad Chemists and Druggists Association pledged to provide Remedesivir injections, each
unit priced at Rs 4,000, for 10 critical patients in the district. Usually, a patient needs six doses.
District magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey said: “After industrial units, now, the chemist association has come forward and pledged support to help patients.”
Rajiv Tyagi, the general secretary of the association, said: “We will provide injections for 10 critical patients initially.
City magistrate Shiv Pratap Shukla will screen the patients and inform us.”
