WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are investigating after a shooting on Alspaugh Drive in Winston-Salem.

At about 7:41 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a shooting on the 500 block of Alspaugh Drive.

At the scene, officers found 52-year-old Michael Sturdivant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.

Police believe Sturdivant and Tyriq Jaquon Williams, 23, of Winston-Salem, were in a home when a argument erupted.

Williams allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Sturdivant multiple times.

Williams was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

He received a $50,000 secured bond.
