Lommel SK Await Green Light From City Football Group To Confirm Capture Of Kadiri
Published: July 31, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Belgian First Division B team Lommel SK are on the brink of announcing the capture of Nigerian center forward Jordan Attah Kadiri.
The Ostersund striker underwent a compulsory pre-employment traditional medical on Thursday, which he passed with flying colours, paving the way for him to append his signature to a four-year contract until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
Although Lommel SK have tied up all the loose ends, they are yet to confirm the signing of Kadiri because they are still waiting for their majority shareholder City Football Group to rubber-stamp the deal.
Manchester City are the flagship club of City Football Group, who also have a stake in New York City, Melbourne City, Yokohama F. Marinos, Montevideo City Torque, Girona and Mumbai City.
Ostersund agreed to terminate Kadiri's contract before expiration after agreeing a transfer fee in the region of 1.2 million euros with Lommel SK.
Considering that the Nigerian youngster is match fit as he was active for his Swedish club before jetting to Belgium, everything indicates that he is in line to make his competitive debut for Lommel on the opening day of the season against Westerlo on August 24.
