Authorities Investigate Drowning at Buffalo Springs Lake

A 40 year-old man drowned Sunday afternoon at Buffalo Springs Lake.

Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Wardens said members of the Lubbock Fire Department Dive Team recovered the body around 7pm.

An official statement concerning the drowning was released, "Lubbock game wardens will continue to investigate this as a drowning. Once that is determined, a water fatality report will be competed and sent to the US Coast Guard."

The identity of the deceased man has not been released.
