NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the UPSC Civil Services Examinations 2019 results online on August 04, 2020. Pradeep Singh has topped the UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination 2019 followed by Jatin Kishore and Pratibha Verma who ranked second and third respectively.
Based on the result of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2019 held by the Union Public Service Commission in September, 2019 and the interviews for Personality Test held in February-August, 2020, the Commission has released the list, in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to:
(i) Indian Administrative Service;
(ii) Indian Foreign Service;
(iii) Indian Police Service; and
(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’

A total number of 829 candidates have been recommended for appointment as per following break-up:
GENERAL - 304 candidates
EWS - 78 candidates
OBC - 251 candidates
SC - 129 candidates
ST - 67 candidates
Appointment to the various Services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination.

The number of vacancies reported by the Government to be filled is as under:

The candidature of 66 recommended candidates is provisional while the result of 11 candidates has been kept withheld.
Candidates can obtain any information/clarification regarding their examinations/recruitment on the working days between 10:00 hours and 17:00 hours in person or over telephone nos. 011- 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543, the Commission said.
The UPSC has a facilitation counter near examination hall on its campus.
UPSC results will also be available on the official website - upscgov.in.
“Marks will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of results,” the Commission said in a notification.
