Ghaziabad: Man beats up toll staff, says he is MLA kin

GHAZIABAD: A man has been booked for allegedly beating up the manager and women staff at Dasna toll plaza on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway on Tuesday. As per the FIR, the accused threatened the staff saying that he is a nephew of Dholana MLA Aslam Chaudhary.
According to police, the youth had come in a Brezza around 3pm and started abusing a female staff when she asked for the toll amount.
When the manager came to the attendant’s rescue, the accused started beating him up. Soon, four to five of his acquiantances joined him in thrashing the toll staff.
Neeraj Chaudhary, the manager of Dasna toll plaza, said, “When I came and intervened, the accused started beating me. He also made some calls and a few minutes later, four to five people arrived. The accused refused to pay toll as he is a nephew of MLA Aslam Chaudhary.”
Ashok Pal Singh, senior inspector of Masuri police station said that the victim had filed a complaint on Wednesday, on the basis of which an FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
