KOLKATA: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board on Friday released the Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) results and rank cards.
The WBJEE 2020 merit list has been released on the official website - wbjeeb.nic.in.
A separate notification with details of counselling/ seat allotment and admission will be published in www.wbjeeb.in and www.wbjeeb.nic.in shortly.

Course-wise and institute wise availability of seats as to be published counselling and allotment.
Souradeep Das of RKM Vidyapith in Deoghar ranks first. He is from Uttar Dinajpur. Sreemanty Dey of DPS Ruby Park School ranks third and is the topper among girls candidates.
Candidates should note that this year the counselling will be held in distance mode i.e., online. They will not have to travel or report to any centre. And they will not be required to go to the institutes for physical verification of their documents. The final physical documents are to be verified only when classes begin.

Any candidate securing a positive marks has been awarded rank card. Around 72298 candidates are rank card holders.
The exam was conducted for admissions to 116 colleges for 34891 seats.

The WBJEE result has been published in the form of Rank Card, which contains all relevant ranks, total score and component scores in paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry). The Board never published rank list.
Candidates can view and download their rank card by logging in with their password.
Duplicate rank cards cannot be generated at any later stage after completion of counselling and admission conducted by the Board. Hence candidates are advised to retain their rank cards carefully in a secured place for all future purpose.
If a candidate needs a duplicate rand card even after completion of counselling and admission conducted by the Board, the same can be provided, but only till 60 days after the date of declaration of result.
In order to get a duplicate rank card, the candidate must apply to the Board and pay a processing fee of Rs 500/- by a bank draft in the name of "West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board" payable in Kolkata.
The Ranks cards have been issued to all candidates, who have appeared in the WBJEE-2020. All the candidates have not been awarded a rank and hence they will not be eligible for conselling, for which a cut off rank and/ or a cut off score will be decided by the board.

The engineering entrance examination was conducted on February 2, 2020 in which around 1.1. lakh wrote their papers this year.
The Board has conducted the WBJEE for admission into Undergraduate course of Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture in various institutions of West Bengal for the academic year 2020.
