HYDERABAD: For the first time since the announcement of lockdown in March this year, function halls are being permitted to open with the condition that there should not be more than 50 guests for weddings.
Suryapet district superintendent of police R Bhaskaran on Friday said function halls should adhere to all conditions that have been imposed or else strict action would be taken against them.
The SP said function halls should take necessary permissions from the authorities and it would be their responsibility to ensure social distancing and Covid safety measures.
The limit on the guest list should be strictly enforced, he said. If there is any violation of conditions, cases would be booked against the function hall owners, he said. Bhaskaran also advised the public to take safe precautions during festivals.
