COIMBATORE: Sri Lankan underworld don Angoda Lokka underwent a plastic surgery on his nose in a private hospital at R S Puram in Coimbatore in February 2020 to hide his identity, CB-CID sources said.
They said Angoda Lokka approached the hospital and told the doctors that he was planning to act in movies. He wanted to correct his nose (to make it a little bigger) through a plastic surgery.
The surgery was performed on February 19, and he was discharged from the hospital on February 22.
“He wanted to change his identity completely. So, he went for a plastic surgery. We collected details from the doctors,” said a source.
Lokka regularly visited Royal Fitness Club at Cheran Maa Nagar for workout. “He used to visit the gym during evening hours. He did not speak to any of the instructors and others in the gym. He used to spend more than one hour every day in the gym,” the source said.
Lokka died of a cardiac arrest on July 3.
