Chennai’s Covid-19 test positivity rate falls further

CHENNAI: Chennai's Covid-19 test positivity rate (TPR), which is the number of positives per 100 tests, was just 7% on August 8 (Saturday), data released by the Greater Chennai Corporation on Sunday showed.
As many as 14,027 tests were done on Saturday. Only 986 people tested positive.
Test positivity rate on August 7 was 8%. It was 9.4% on August 6.
Chennai is targeting a TPR of 6.5% by end of August, GCC commissioner G Prakash said.
