Two deaths, 159 positive cases in Yavatmal

Yavatmal: There seems to be no respite either from deaths or new positive patients in Yavatmal. Both the figures are rising with each passing day. On Monday, there were two deaths, a 62-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, both from Pusad. Total deaths in the district so far are 49. There are 159 new positive patients which is the highest since the lockdown.However, 79 patients got discharged. There are 138 persons admitted in the isolation wards of GMC Yavatmal while 82 swab samples have been sent to the lab for testing. Though the administration has tightened the noose, there is no result in sight in containing the spread of Covid-19 which is spreading rapidly in rural areas.
