Every New Movie Coming To Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max And Apple TV+ This Week

On the first day of each month, the biggest streaming services available—which includes Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max and Apple TV+—add dozens of new movies to their digital libraries.

But what many don’t realize is that several more titles are added throughout the month as well. Each and every week, we receive more movies and TV shows from these streaming providers.

And this week is no different. Here are 14 new movies you can expect to see this week from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max and Apple TV+.

Nightcrawler (Netflix)

Plot summary: Los Angeles denizen Louis Bloom survives by scavenging and petty theft. He stumbles into a new career as a cameraman and begins nocturnal forays across the city in search of shocking and grisly crimes. When he catches the eye of a shopworn news director who welcomes the chance to raise her station's ratings, Louis goes to increasingly greater lengths to catch the "money shot."

Nightcrawler stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, Riz Ahmed, Bill Paxton, Kevin Rahm, Michael Hyatt and Ann Cusack. The movie was directed by Dan Gilroy.

Nightcrawler will be available to stream on Netflix on August 10.

The Lost Husband (Netflix)

Plot summary: Trying to put her life back together after the death of her husband, Libby and her children move to her estranged Aunt's goat farm in central Texas.

The Lost Husband stars Leslie Bibb, Josh Duhamel, Nora Dunn, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Sharon Lawrence, Kevin Alejandro, Herizen F. Guardiola, Callie Hope Haverda, Roxton Garcia, Stone Garcia, Georgia King and Carly Pope. The movie was directed by Vicky Wright.

The Lost Husband will be available to stream on Netflix on August 10.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman (Netflix)

Plot summary: Mr. Peabody, the most accomplished canine in the world, and his boy, Sherman, use a time machine called the Wabac to embark on outrageous adventures. However, when Sherman takes the Wabac without permission to impress his friend Penny (Ariel Winter), he accidentally rips a hole in the universe and causes havoc with world history. It's up to Mr. Peabody to mount a rescue and prevent the past, present and future from being permanently altered.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman stars Ty Burrell, Max Charles, Ariel Winter, Stephen Colbert, Leslie Mann and Allison Janney. The movie was directed by Rob Minkoff.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman will be available to stream on Netflix on August 11.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (Netflix)

Plot summary: The life of Air Force pilot, Gunjan Saxena, the first Indian female pilot in combat.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl stars Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Manav Vij. The movie was directed by Sharan Sharma.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will be available to stream on Netflix on August 12.

Scary Movie 5 (Netflix)

Plot summary: Much bizarre activity follows after a husband and wife bring their newborn infant home from the hospital. When they realize that a demon is stalking their family, they consult paranormal specialists and install numerous cameras to drive out the pesky spirit.

Scary Movie 5 stars Simon Rex, Ashley Tisdale, Ava Kolker, Erica Ash, Molly Shannon, Heather Locklear, J. P. Manoux, Jerry O'Connell, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan. The movie was directed by Malcolm D. Lee.

Safety Not Guaranteed (Netflix)

Plot summary: A disaffected magazine intern befriends an unusual guy, who is looking for a partner to accompany him on a trip back through time.

Safety Not Guaranteed stars Aubrey Plaza, Mark Duplass, Jake Johnson, Karan Soni, Jenica Bergere, Kristen Bell, Jeff Garlin and Mary Lynn Rajskub. The movie was directed by Colin Trevorrow.

Safety Not Guaranteed will be available to stream on Netflix on August 13.

An Easy Girl (Netflix)

Plot summary: A girl's life is turned upside-down when her seductive older cousin joins her for the summer.

An Easy Girl stars Zahia Dehar, Mina Farid, Benoît Magimel and Nuno Lopes. The movie was directed by Rebecca Zlotowski.

An Easy Girl will be available to stream on Netflix on August 13.

Capone (Amazon Prime)

Plot summary: Chronicling the final days of notorious gangster Al Capone as he succumbs to dementia and relives his past through tormenting memories.

Capone stars Tom Hardy, Linda Cardellini, Jack Lowden, Noel Fisher, Kyle MacLachlan, Matt Dillon and Al Sapienza. The movie was directed by Josh Trank.

Capone will be available to stream on Amazon Prime on August 10.

Hard Night Falling (Amazon Prime & Hulu)

Plot summary: An Interpol agent must battle a ruthless crime boss and his mercenaries at an Italian villa in order to save his wife and daughter.

Hard Night Falling stars Dolph Lundgren, Hal Yamanouchi, Natalie Burn, Mario Opinato and Brice Martinet. The movie was directed by Giorgio Bruno.

Lucky Day (Amazon Prime & Hulu)

Plot summary: After being released from prison, a safecracker tries to protect his family from a psychopathic contract killer who's seeking revenge.

Lucky Day stars Luke Bracey, Nina Dobrev, Crispin Glover, Ella Ryan Quinn, Clé Bennett and Clifton Collins Jr.. The movie was directed by Roger Avary.

Alive and Kicking (Hulu)

Plot summary: A documentary showcasing the dynamic culture and cathartic power of swing dancing, from its historic origins to its impact today. Professionals and enthusiasts find joy through dance, giving an insider's view into the exhilarating world of swing.

Alive and Kicking stars Dawn Hampton, Frankie Manning and Norma Miller. The movie was directed by Susan Glatzer.

Alive and Kicking will be available to stream on Hulu on August 11.

Monster’s Ball (Hulu)

Plot summary: Hank Grotowski is a prison guard whose son, who works on the prison's death row, commits suicide. Grotowski spirals into depression until one night he helps Leticia Musgrove's injured son. When he dies, the couple are united by grief, but as their relationship develops, he learns he and his son were party to the execution of her husband.

Monster’s Ball stars Halle Berry, Billy Bob Thornton, Heath Ledger, Sean Combs, Mos Def, Will Rokos, Milo Addica and Peter Boyle. The movie was directed by Marc Foster.

Monster’s Ball will be available to stream on Hulu on August 11.

Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn (HBO Max)

Plot summary: This documentary tells the story of Yusuf Hawkins, a black teenager who was murdered in 1989 by a group of young white men in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Yusuf Hawkins’ death and the official response to it sparked outrage in New York, unleashing a torrent of racial tension and spurring tireless civil rights activism that exposed deep racial prejudices and inequities which continue to plague the country today.

Boys State (Apple TV+)

Plot summary: Texas teens learn about American democracy by organizing political parties and running a mock government.
