BJP in Delhi gears up for Municipal polls in 2022, Delhi Unit chief says formation of new team soon

As the Bharatiya Janata Party is gearing up for the municipal polls, scheduled to be held in 2022, party’s Delhi unit Chief Adesh Gupta has said that he will announce the formation of the new state team by the end of this month, in which women party workers will be given major positions, especially at the grass root level, i.e., municipal wards (mandal) and districts.

“This time there was no election due to Covid-19. But we are in the process of finalising the team based on extensive discussions with party workers at all levels—from mandals to state and MPs. We will announce the new team by the end of this month. The team, which will lead the party into municipal elections, will be a mix of young and experienced people. This time, active women party workers will be given key roles such as mandal and district presidents,” said Mr. Gupta.

Adding further he said that the party has planned to start an aggressive campaign to showcase the work done by it in past 13 years.
