There was a narrow defeat for Maidenhead & Bray in TVL Division 2A on Saturday as they lost by just nine runs to Amersham 2nds.

Sonning’s innings followed a very similar pattern as runs were scored and wickets fell. Zahid Mohammed made 39 and Jacob Fitton 41 in a stand of 52, but it was James Boshier’s undefeated 34 further down the order which proved match-defining as Sonning reached their target with one wicket in hand in the 35th over.
