LUCKNOW: A 15-year-old girl was gang-raped by three villagers in Biswan area of Sitapur on Sunday night. Police said that all three perpetrators were arrested on Monday. The victim is recuperating at a hospital and her condition is stable.
This is the fifth reported incident of a minor being gang-raped in the past 48 hours in the state. Similar incidents have been reported from Kheri, Gorakhpur, Lucknow and Saharanpur.

According to the police, around 7pm, the minor had gone to attend nature’s call a few meters from her house.
“In the meantime, three youths of the same village identified as Vishal, Alok and Kuldeep, who were hanging around, spotted the girl and snapped the electricity of the village. Taking advantage of the dark, the trio abducted her and took her to a deserted place. They took turns to repeatedly rape her,” said the girl’s father in his complaint to the police. The accused later dumped her near her house and fled.
When the girl gained consciousness and narrated the ordeal to her parents, her father informed the police.
SHO, Biswan, Brajesh Rai said that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR had been registered under charges of gang rape and protection of children from sexual offences Act. All the named accused have been arrested. The survivor is in district hospital and stable.
