Gas cylinder blast: 5 houses gutted

Vijayawada: As many as five thatched houses were gutted in fire after a cooking gas cylinder leak led to a blast at Sangam Jagarlamudi under Tenali mandal in Guntur district on Saturday night. The fire started in one house and spread fast to adjacent houses. Though no one was injured in the incident, about Rs 10 lakh worth of property was destroyed, according to officials.TNN
