16,000 citizens returning to Mumbai from Konkan this weekend in 844 buses

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has got huge bookings for people returning back to Mumbai from Konkan with over 1400 buses booked now. During the weekend, there will be 413 buses arriving in the city from Konkan while there will be 431 buses on Sunday.

MUMBAI: The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has got huge bookings for people returning back to Mumbai from Konkan with over 1400 buses booked now. During the weekend, there will be 413 buses arriving in the city from Konkan while there will be 431 buses on Sunday.
More than 16,000 commuters are expected to arrive in the next two days, back from the Ganpati festival at Konkan, an official said.

The total booking till September 2 has been 1436 buses, which is far more than the number of buses booked for those leaving the city for Konkan a few weeks ago. There were close to 500 buses which had departed from Mumbai.
