Regionala Investiciju Banka posts EUR 730,900 in H1 profit

Regionala Investiciju Banka (Regional Investment Bank) posted EUR 730,941 in profit for the first six months of 2020, which is 2.7 times less than in the respective period in 2019, according to the bank's financial statement LETA informs.

As at June 30, 2020, the bank's assets stood at EUR 269.026 mln, which is 6% or EUR 17.285 mln less than at the end of 2019 when the bank's assets were worth EUR 286.31 mln.


The bank's board chairman Aleksandrs Jakovlevs said that the bank has launched a number of significant lending projects with Latvian companies that meet the bank's new business model.


At the end of June, Regionala Investiciju Banka's loan portfolio was EUR 100.284 mln. The amount of special provisions set up by the bank was EUR 12.028 mln.


The bank's capital and reserves on June 30 stood at EUR 36.158 mln, an increase of 2.1% from end-2019.


Regionala Investiciju Banka's profit in 2019 amounted to EUR 2.997 mln, down 47.5% from 2018.


Last year Regionala Investiciju Banka was the eighth largest bank in Latvia by assets. Its key shareholders are SKY Investment Holding (37.4%), Ukrainian citizen Yuriy Rodin (20%), Ukraine's company Pivdennyi (13.76%), and Mark Bekker (10.57%).
