LUCKNOW: State President of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu, who was going to meet farmers in Ayodhya, was detained by Barabanki police on Thursday.
Ajay has alleged that the government is discriminating against the Ayodhya farmers in the Land Acquisition Act.
Lallu was arrested near Ahmedpur toll plaza at Barabanki, 6km from Dharampur village in Ayodhya, where he was going to address farmers, angry over alleged poor compensation for land acquisition for Ayodhya airport.

Lallu said that he was ready to go to jail for the sake of the farmers.
"Why is government discriminating against the farmers and giving Rs 70 lakh per bigha to some farmers and Rs 10 lakh to others without any criteria," he accused the government.
