Bihar: Property dealer shot at in Gopalganj

PATNA: A property dealer, Suresh Yadav (45), was shot at by a motorcycle-borne criminal at the entrance of his house at Kukurbhuka village under the Town police station area in Gopalganj district around 7am on Thursday.
Police said Yadav, who sustained one gunshot injury on his chest and two on his back, was rushed to a Gorakhpur hospital in Uttar Pradesh from where he was later shifted to PGI in Lucknow. Police said Yadav was associated with RJD.
SHO of Town police station in Gopalganj Prashant Kumar said Yadav had more than a dozen of heinous criminal cases lodged against him.“Ten criminal cases, including murder and extortion, are lodged with the Town police station,” he said, adding Yadav’s son is a member of RJD’s student wing in Gopalganj.
The SHO said the shooter was probably a contract killer who was hired from outside Gopalganj. “The shooter had perhaps conducted recce of the village and followed Yadav’s daily activities before attacking him,” the SHO said.
