Karnataka: Not 1 of 8 CCTV cameras working in Mandya temple

A day after the bloody murder of three priests by robbers, Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojari said on Saturday that an enquiry would be initiated against Sri Arakeshwara temple executive officer, given that none of the eight CCTV cameras installed were working.

MANDYA: A day after the bloody murder of three priests by robbers, Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojari said on Saturday that an enquiry would be initiated against Sri Arakeshwara temple executive officer, given that none of the eight CCTV cameras installed were working.
“Action will be taken against officials for failing to discharge their duties,” Poojari said.
“Security cameras have not been maintained and collection money in the hundis has not be counted since January.” Hundi money is to be retrieved and counted every month. He later handed over a compensation cheque of Rs 5 lakh each to the bereaved families of the priests.
