Based on random sampling, the National Testing Agency said that the attendance for the
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) stands between 85% to 90% on Sunday.
NEET exam 2020 draws mixed response; here's paper analysis
A few candidates found the
exam tricky and lengthy. Biology section was perceived to be easier than the remaining sections. The Physics section was well balanced and the questions asked were of easy level. There were few questions in the physics section which needed lengthy calculation but were direct and easy. The Chemistry section contained a few difficult questions from Organic chemistry however the overall Chemistry section was easy.
Khushi Agarwalla, a student who appeared in NEET from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Narengi in Guwahati said,"Overall, the paper was quite easy, especially the physics part. The Biology portion was based on NCERT text books, whereas in the Chemistry part, more emphasis was given on theoretical aspects."
Assam: Police were deployed in all the exam centres in Guwahati in order to maintain distancing. As per preliminary reports, the attendance was over 75-80 percent in the exams centres in the city, where several changes were made in the sitting arrangements at the last minute due to Covid-19 situation.
Saileza Biswal from Bhubaneswar said physics was tough for her. "Biology subject was easy to answer. I loved answering bio questions. But physics was tough. Chemistry was not tough like physics. Examination went smoothly amid pandemic," she added.
At SIWS College in Wadala, Mumbai, students got the question papers 20 and 30 minutes later in two different blocks. "We were unable to open the digital lock on the trunk for some time. Since the access card did not work, the NTA asked us to manually break open the trunk. We spent a few minutes but students were given extra time," said vice principal Vaibhav Banjan from the college. Around 1,200 NEET aspirants gave the exam from this centre.
NEET went off smoothly, opines principal of DAV Public School
Principal of DAV Public School, C V Madhavi said that the NEET exam went off smoothly. She said social distancing happened very strictly and students adhered all covid norms. She also added that the disposable gloves, sanitizers, temperature check up machines, jammers, contactless frisking all were provided by the NTE unit.
Javed Hussain said he attempted Biology first and about 15 questions were high difficulty level rest were medium difficulty. Majority questions were from botany. Physics was most difficult as compared to the other two sections . The Chemistry section has questions based on organic and inorganic topics. Javed is already taking a course in blood transfusion at AFMC. He is a soldier in Indian Army.
Princy from Chennai said the question paper was easy compared to previous year's. Though she was staying more than five hours inside the exam hall, she said she didn't feel any tiredness.
Sanjay Lokesh from Chennai says question paper is moderate and Physics questions were tough. Biology questions were easy.
Biology paper easy, students say
Gauri Kale found Biology paper very easy and physics was toughest of all three sections. Shweta Maurya said that majority of the questions were NCERT based only. Nothing came as surprise.

Shivanjali Nanaware said that 5-10 questions were surprise for her. She found Biology paper easy. She also opined that the other two sections were little high difficulty level.
Sohail Kodekal said that the exam was tough. He opined that he found the Chemistry paper more tough.
