How was the experience shooting for your first ever Punjabi Music Video, were there any language barriers?

‘Maahiya’ holds a special place in my heart; I was excited when I got the opportunity to work on this project. The best part about shooting this song was that it was in one of the most beautiful places on earth –Shimla. I like the lyrical composition and soothing voice of my co-artist Tash M. He is a great singer, music composer, director, and a talented soul.

We had an excellent, supporting, and talented team during the entire shoot of ‘Maahiya’. My chirpy nature helped me easily connect with the team; everyone appreciated and admired my expressive acting skills.

Punjabi is a very delightful language, I love it and hence did not feel any language barrier as such. I do not speak Punjabi, but I often listen to a lot of Punjabi songs, and therefore I could easily understand and connect with the song. I am excited about this song and it will always have a big place in my heart. This is another step that will take me closer to my dream.

Could you brief us about the storyline of 'Maahiya'?

It is a romantic and emotional song where you will get to see drama and romance. The story revolves around a simple married girl who passionately loves her husband and has promised to spend her entire life with him. But to her misfortune, her husband leaves her for another woman and she is left shattered. Soon things take a turn when her husband realizes the value of her true love and returns home.

Could you share your few memorable achievements?

Everything new I learn and do is an achievement for me. But one of the few achievements that is really close to my heart includes, my participation at Campus Princess 2017 and the glorious win, that was a stepping stone in my life.

Can we expect to see you in Femina Miss India 2020?

I'm currently focusing on many other projects and as of now, have not given it a thought. I have a few aspirations and goals to fulfill before participating in Femina Miss India 2020. If everything goes well and as planned I would definitely be seen in Femina Miss India 2020.

What are your future projects?

I have many upcoming projects including more Punjabi songs, Movies, and short films. Recently I did a short film – ‘Ek Thi Nurse’, which depicts the role and responsibility of a nurse who puts her life at stake to treat the highly contagious COVID patients, without worrying about her health. This short film is really close to me, as my mother is Matron in a district hospital and I have seen and witnessed her dedication to treating others in these unprecedented times.

Speaking about the massive support and love from her family she said, “My family has always supported me to achieve my goals, irrespective of old norms. I always followed and kept three key phrases close to my heart that have always helped me grow in life and they are self-belief, self-confidence, and hard work. It does not matter how many times you fall but one should always keep these three phrases in their mind and continue to work towards one’s goal.

I believe in myself, and I will achieve my goals in the coming future,” she said as she concluded.
