The Tuscaloosa City Council approved a relief package Tuesday night. Around 20 applications have been received.

Between Aug. 24 and Sept. 8, 29 businesses were temporarily shut down by Mayor Walt Maddox. The shutdown aimed to help curb the increase in COVID cases in Tuscaloosa. The approved plan allows for up to $400,000 to be shared among local bar owners impacted by the closures.
