Trainer aircraft crashes in UP's Azamgarh, pilot dies

A trainer aircraft crashed near Centrwa Khairuddinpur area under the limits of Saraimir police station in Azamgarh district on Monday. The pilot of aircraft was killed in the incident.

VARANASI: A trainer aircraft crashed near Centrwa Khairuddinpur area under the limits of Saraimir police station in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district on Monday. The pilot of aircraft was killed in the incident.
Azamgarh SP Sudhir Kumar Singh said that it was a trainer aircraft and the pilot was on solo flight.

The pilot's body has been recovered and efforts to ascertain his identity are being made, he said, adding name of training institute from where the aircraft had come has not become clear so far.

Around 11.20 am, when thunderstorm hit Azamgarh, villagers noticed the uncontrolled aircraft grounding. They claimed that the pilot tried to jump out with parachute but he died after felling in a waterlogged area.
