Red Raiders Record Seven Wins on Saturday at Lakes Tennis Invite

FRISCO, Texas – Texas Tech men's tennis team notched five doubles victories and a pair of singles wins in the second day of action at the Lakes Tennis Invite in Frisco.
Tech began their day by taking three of four doubles matches in the morning session. Reed Collier and Parker Wynn carried their Friday momentum into Saturday by winning their first match at a 6-3 clip over Martinez and Beiler of Oklahoma. Ilgiz Valiev and Dimitrios Azoidis bounced back and took their morning match 7-6(3) against Holden and Talluri of Texas. The Argentinian duo of Franco Ribero and Francisco Vittar won the final doubles match on Saturday morning at 6-4 over Bullard and Allen of Texas.
In the afternoon, singles were headed by Isaac Arevalo, who secured his second win of the weekend with a 6-3, 7-5 decision over Welsh Hotard of Oklahoma. Collier, in his first singles match on the weekend, defeated Texas' Jacob Bullard by a margin of 6-3, 7-5.
To conclude Saturday's matches, the Red Raiders took two of four doubles matches with fresh lineups, as Collier and Valiev defeated Spizzirri and Taluri of Texas, 7-5, and Arevalo and Ribero defeated Martinez and Hotard of OU by a score of 6-3.
