A North Staffordshire glamping pod manufacturer has landed its first international deal – to supply accommodation to a Norwegian leisure attraction.

Barlaston-based Landpod has supplied four of its woodland lodges to the Dyreparken, Kristiansand Zoo and Amusement Park.

The pods join a hot list of quirky accommodation packages at the Nordic attraction including safari tents, motor homes and cabins.

Now Landpod is in talks with Dyreparken owners to supply more pods for the 2021 season.

The woodland lodges can sleep up to five adults in two double beds and one single.

By day, they can be converted into a spacious living area capable of housing up to nine adults across two tables.

Jacob Watson, Landpod co-founder and pod designer, said: “Setting up the pods at Dyreparken was a real ‘pinch me’ moment for the team.

“With Covid stalling plans, it was a touch and go project that took a lot of organising and extra safety logistics.

“But we got there in the end and the Landpod Woodland Lodges look so at home in 150 acres of wild Nordic space.”
