Stock market update: Nifty Realty index down 3%; Indiabulls Real Estate nosedives 8%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Realty index was trading with losses at 03:10PM (IST) on Thursday.

While Indiabulls Real Estate (down 8.02 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 5.42 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 4.91 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (down 4.78 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (down 4.28 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 2.93 per cent down at 205.45 around 03:10PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 319.35 points at 10812.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 1084.06 points at 36584.36.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 2 were trading in the green, while 48 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland and Zee Ent. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Route Mobile Ltd., Apollo Hospital, Syngene International Ltd., Hathway Cable and Ruchi Soya Inds hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Raj Rayon Industries Ltd., Mittal Life Style Ltd., Future Lifestyle Fashions Ltd., Vikas Proppant & Granite Ltd., Sumit Woods Ltd., Libas Designs Ltd., Kuantum Papers Ltd., Adroit Infotech Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Ltd. and Mindpool Technologies Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
