Prep rewind: Ionia tennis tops Lakewood

The Ionia boys varsity tennis team won Wednesday night beating Lakewood 7-1.

There were three forfeits with Ionia winning at fourth singles and third and fourth doubles.

At first singles. Sam Eppler won a tremendous match 7-6 (7-1) 6-3. Jack Eppler won at second singles 6-3,6-0. And Brett Longanbach won at third singles 6-0,6-0.

Brett Petersen and Collin Palmer list at first doubles 4-6,6-1 and 8-10 in the third set super tie break. Second doubles won 7-5, 6-4.

Ionia only has one match remaining, Monday against Waverly before leagues on Thursday of next week and regionals the following week.
