KEVIN D. LOWREY

A visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Military rites will follow presented by the VFW Post 1856.

Kevin was born September 24, 1958, in Iowa City. The son of the late Beverly (Brown) and Ronald “Buck” Lowrey Sr. In his youth Kevin worked during the summers for the Fort Dodge Youth Program. In 1976, Kevin enlisted in Marine Corps. He continued his service with Iowa National Guard after his honorable discharge from the Marines. After the military, Kevin began working for the city of Fort Dodge until retiring due to his health. Kevin was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his Harley’s and was a member of ABATE for many years. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold’em with his card buddies. Kevin loved his family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his two loving daughters, Holly Lombard and Danielle (Bradley) Jones; grandchildren, DeVonte Lombard, Sierra Lombard, Malik Lewis, Chipper Cisco, Jaxson Lowrey-Jones, Lunden Lowrey-Jones; great-grandchildren, Cierra Lombard, DeVonte Lombard Jr. and Kaiden Lombard; sister, Marlene (Bert) Deal; Kim Murphy-Haukoos (Monte); Michelle (Manuel) Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Sherry Lowrey and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronald Lee Lowrey Jr. and brother-in-law, John William Murphy.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
