Armenia’s banking system continues to enjoy the trust of the majority of citizens. This is what Executive Director of the Union of Banks of Armenia Seyran Sargsyan told reporters today.

According to him, the members of society may have different attitudes towards the banking system, and this is mainly based on the integrity of information that citizens possess. Sargsyan added that the negative attitude of a certain category of citizens towards trade banks is due to the difficulties that they face, including the difficulties that they face as a result of the pandemic. However, Sargsyan is certain that the banking system of Armenia has the same reputation that the banking systems of foreign countries have.

The executive director of the Union of Banks of Armenia also said the stability and liquidity of the banking system of Armenia sometimes compels people who are not citizens of Armenia to give preference to Armenian trade banks.
